Here are a few things to consider when shopping for your new puppy:

Harness & Leash

We highly recommend using a harness versus a collar to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on your puppy’s neck and trachea.

Dog Bowls

We recommend feeding your pup and giving them water and food in stainless steel dog bowls rather than plastic. Clean these bowls daily to avoid contaminating your puppy’s food and water with germs.stainless steel non slip bowls .

Chihuahua babies have a hard time regulating their body.temperatures.

Dog Food

While we do recommend home cooked dog food for the long term, or options like All Provide, Doctor Harvey's dog food, Honest Kitchen,  when your puppy first goes home, you’ll need to keep them on the same  kibble diet they were being fed and then slowly transition into the food you will feed them.

We have lots of details on puppy food here but for sake of reference,  here is the link to the dry kibble you will need  Fromms puppy food buy prior to bringing your baby home and we always soak kibble with  spring water to prevent choking. Fromms puppy canned food .

Treats

Do not ever give rawhide treats. Always supervise your babies with any treats,  Cow ears  and cow hooves  We fill the cow hooves with Greek wholefat yogurt and freeze and then give. (Warning these hooves stink.  )

Probiotics 

we recommend daily probiotics for gut health. Some choices are Benebac probiotics   Fortiflora Probiotics Goat Kefir (we find at Whole Foods)   and Whole Greek Full Fat Yogurt
